- First Mills acquires Al Manar Feed for SAR 77 mn.
First Milling Co. (First Mills) has completed the acquisition of a 100% stake in Al Manar Feed Co. Ltd. in Jeddah for SAR 77 million. The deal includes the transfer of ownership of the factory along with all its assets, rights, and licenses. The acquisition will be financed through Shariah-compliant bank facilities, available cash, and other financing programs. First Mills aims to expand its production capacity by 450 tons per day, reaching a total output of 1,350 tons per day, and introduce new products to meet growing market demand. The financial impact of this deal is expected to be reflected in Q3 2025 . (Argaam)

Dar Almarkabah for Renting Cars Co. signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on August 10 with Al Sahm Car Rental Co. to acquire the latter. The MoU, which is effective for six months, outlines the framework for preliminary mutual rights and obligations between the parties. Financial and legal due diligence will be conducted, along with determining the acquisition percentage and financial consideration based on the financial valuation results. This data was revealed by the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) on the occasion of International Youth Day, which falls on August 12 . The GASTAT data from 2024 showed that the age group between 15 and 34 accounted for 35.9% of the population, with a nearly equal gender distribution of 50.3 percent male and 49.7% female. Regarding Saudis and non-Saudis, individuals under 35 made up 61.4% of the total population. In the report, the GASTAT emphasized the vital role of youth in shaping Saudi Arabia’s development and future. Emir of Tabuk Prince Fahd bin Sultan inaugurated 23 development projects in the sectors of environment, water, and agriculture worth over SAR 3.8 bn. He also laid the foundation stone for 25 projects costing more than SAR 580 mn. Minister of Environment, Water, and Agriculture Eng. Abdulrahman Al-Fadley was present at the inaugural ceremony held at the emirate headquarters in Tabuk on Sunday. Hamad Mohammed Bin Saedan Real Estate is selling a 17.64% stake (equivalent to 4.2 mn shares) Tadawul’s parallel market Nomu, it said in its prospectus.The issuance will be equivalent to 15% of its post-IPO capital, which is set to hit SAR 282.4 mn from SAR 240 mn. Saudi Industrial Production Rises to the Highest Since Late 2022.
Saudi Arabia’s industrial production rose to the strongest level in nearly three years, in line with an increase in the kingdom’s economic growth for the same period and driven by an expansion in oil output. A measure looking into the Gulf country’s industrial production accelerated 7.9% on an annual basis by the end of the second quarter, fueled by an increase in manufacturing activities, according to data by the General Authority for Statistics. Industrial production is based on the value of output in several industries including mining and quarrying, manufacturing and public utilities such as electricity, gas and water supply. Saudi gross domestic product rose nearly 4% year-on-year in the three months through June, preliminary data showed, driven by steady growth in the non-oil sector and a return to expansion for oil activities, as the kingdom boosts output under new OPEC+ supply policy. The kingdom’s oil economy swung back to expansion after contracting in the first quarter as the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries, led by Saudi Arabia and Russia, opened the taps in recent months after years of supply restraint
China Soft Saudi Oil Buying Signals Shift to Urals, EA Says.
Chinese refiners are asking for less oil from Saudi Arabia, with the drop possibly pointing to a reshuffle of global flows as more Russian crude becomes available. A decline in so-called nominations for term cargoes from Saudi Aramco for September loading, led by trading-giant Unipec, indicated some Chinese refineries were holding back from purchases given the greater availability of Russia’s Urals, as well as comfortable stockpiles, the London-based consultant said in an Aug. 11 note, without saying how it got the information. Indian nominations for September, meanwhile, increased from a month earlier as the country seeks alternatives to Russian crude following Western pushback. The global oil market has zeroed in on a possible reordering of some crude flows after the US and European Union ramped up pressure against India over its imports of Russian energy. Given there’s been no comparable move against China, that’s raised the possibility that more of Moscow’s oil will be taken by mainland refiners, including Urals, which ships from Russia’s west. Saudi Aramco is set to sell 43 mn barrels of contractual supplies of September-loading crude to China, traders informed by the producer told Bloomberg. That compares with 51 mn barrels a month ago, and a monthly average of about 45 mn so far this year.
