أظهرت بيانات "مارين ترافيك" دخول سبع سفن شحن إلى الخليج العربي وخروج ناقلة واحدة وسفينة شحن واحدة إلى خليج عُمان، فيما تثير الضربات المتجددة بين واشنطن وطهران مخاوف أمنية وتعطّل نقل النفط عبر ممر كان ينقل الجزء الأكبر من صادرات الخليج. وكانت الاقتصادات الآسيوية، التي تعتمد على المضيق في نحو 60% من إمداداتها من الطاقة، الأكثر تضرراً. - وزراء خارجية دول رابطة "آسيان" يعربون عن "قلق بالغ" إزاء تجدد الأعمال العدائية بين واشنطن وطهران، محذّرين من أن إغلاق مضيق هرمز يهدد أمن الطاقة في المنطقة.
