Zilla Capital Successfully Advised EDITA Food Industries on acquiring 100% of Fancy Foods

Cairo – Sunday, June 4, 2023 – Zilla Capital, the top M&A advisor in Egypt, acted as the sole financial advisor to EDITA Food Industries on acquiring 100% of Fancy Foods in a deal worth EGP380 million. Fancy Foods is a manufacturer of frozen bakery products, and hence this acquisition marks EDITA’s entry into a fast-growing segment that it has been eying for sometime. The investment entails a 100% acquisition of assets, encompassing two full production lines and other machinery, in addition to land, property and a distribution arm. Furthermore, as part of the agreement EDITA has acquired the technical know- how and recipes for a range of frozen bakery SKUs. Matouk Bassiouny & Hennawy (MBH) was EDITA’s legal adviser.
